Well, how does one start a blog? Is this relly the thing to be doing? I've always felt that one day I could be a writer, but now I'm actually doing it I'm not so sure. I know I want to share my thoughts and experiences with others to see if my thoughts are really that different to anyone elses. Oh well, here goes.
Today was pretty normal. Set off early for the gym only to be told when I got there that there was no hot water. Typical. You pay an absolute fortune for gym membership and the flaming place can't even get its boilers to work. Oh well, I'll press on I thought. I can have a cold shower - that'll be fine. A whole load of weights later (trying to look stronger than everyone else in there), I approach the showers, hoping that somehow the boilers have come back on and I'll be lucky enough to have a warm shower. But no, I turned on the tap and nothing but ice cold water. "I can take this" I told myself; no I couldn't! I think I came close to having a heart attack.
At this point I decided that I would write a complaint to the gym management. The rage within me must have been evident when the smiling desk attendent said goodbye to me, only to be met with a stone cold (partly from the cold shower I'd just not had) face and a grunt. The rage soon subsided when I realised that I couldn't actually afford the time to write a letter of complaint. And where would it get me anyhow.
Work was fairly uneventful. Usual secretarial woes to hear about and feign interest in.
